I live in Los Angeles, California but had the great privilege to walk Juniper Hill Field in September of 2023. The idea that yurts and other makeshift structures would be allowed to scar this beautiful land is appalling.
I grew up in Orange County, California in the 1970’s. I watched in real time, every slice of natural, unspoiled land be gobbled up for housing and commerce to the point where there is almost nothing left that is natural.
In that same area, a Marine Corps Air Station was built in 1942. In 1999, it was decommissioned. Along with housing and sports venues, they are trying to build a nature preserve on that site. 24 years later, they have yet to “break ground” on anything that remotely resembles “nature”.
Proving that once natural habitats are lost, they will be lost forever.
Sincerely,
Erin Engman

Hi Erin. Thank you for your support all the way from California. It just shows how universal this problem is becoming. We hope by spreading the message as widely as possible that we can keep the field safe from development fir the enjoyment of everyone
